before my internet went out last night i made this so enjoy.
“I’m just tired,that’s all.”
Malik sighed, and looked at the sky. It was getting dark. He looked around him,the horses and the pigeons seemed to be a bit tired aswell.
“Then sleep. I dont think being tired will help us on this journey. Ill keep watch.”
Altaïr double-checked to make sure he had all his weapons, then leaned against the tree. It was a rather comfy tree to lean against. He heard an eagle call in the distance.
Altaïr accepted the bread and nibbled on it for a moment. It made him realize that he was really hungry.
“I… I dont know. But we should stop and eat. Im starving.”
“Very well. Let’s rest near that tree”
Malik dismounted his horse and sat on a rock under the tree’s shadow, took the bag off his back and slowly put it on the ground. He also put the pigeon cages near him,and gave more seeds to the birds, who seemed to be still hungry.
“Serve yourself I guess.” He said, while nibbling a piece of bread.
Altaïr sat next to Malik and took some hummus and bread. He ate it thoughtfully while watching the pigeons peck at the seeds.
“You put that pack down gingerly. Are you in pain, Malik?”
Malik noticed Altaïr was being very quiet. He grabbed a piece of bread from his bag and gave it to Altaïr.
“What’s wrong? You’re so quiet now. Are you, like, the opposite of the pigeons? While they shut up when you give them food,I must give you food so you talk?”
He smiled.
Altaïr accepted the bread and nibbled on it for a moment. It made him realize that he was really hungry.
“I… I dont know. But we should stop and eat. Im starving.”
“That could help, but it wouldn’t hide the pigeons’ noise.”Malik put his hand into the seeds bag, grabbed some seeds and gave them to the pigeons, hoping it would calm them.
“This might keep them entertained for a while.”
Then covered the cages with a sheet,to protect the birds from the sun,and from the guards’ curiosity.
“They’re like kids: Give them food and they shut up.”
Altaïr was enjoying the quiet from the pigeons. For a while he rode along without talking, but the silence was starting to make Altaïr feel uneasy.
Malik looked at the guards ,who were staring at him. They were probably thinking “Where are these two strangers going with all these pigeons?”. Malik’s horse started walking faster, leaving the suspicious guards behind.“Hmpf. We should go faster before they start following us. They could get on our way.” said Malik while looking behind.
((—-After a few minutes, they were outside the walls of Jerusalem.—-))
“I agree, we should get moving.”
Once outside the city, Altaïr urged his horse into a faster gait. He wanted to get to Masyaf quickly. However after a minute or two of the faster speed, the pigeons started complaining. Loudly.
“We need to do something about these birds. This racket will have all the guards in the Kingdom on our tail. Maybe put a sheet over their cage?”
The Pigeon Orchestra Adventure.
“Malik. CALM YO TITS.”
Altair was feeling ballsy today.
“I am not the one who takes care of the birds. I take care of killing people.”
Again,Malik stopped walking. He was getting so furious by Altaïr’s way of speaking,he put down the little confused pigeons on the floor, grabbed Altaïr’s collar and said:
“You should threat others with more respect Altaïr…You wouldn’t want to see me really pissed off. If you’re trying to piss me off, you’re doing it right. Now stop joking around and let’s get this done.”
Malik let Altaïr go,and picked up the pigeons again.
Altair had never seen Malik in so much… rage. He decided that maybe it was best to *not* push Malik’s buttons.
“I am sorry, Malik. I should not have acted so… childish.”
There was a lot more he wanted to say, but he let it go at that. Altair grabbed the rest of the pigeons and walked out of the bureau.
They walked around Jerusalem for a few minutes, until they finally found a merchant selling food, seeds, and horses. “Just what we needed.” Malik thought.
“Excuse me good man,how much are these?”
The merchant looked at Malik, and answered with a smile. Malik bought some food for them, seeds for the pigeons and two horses.
“Thank you.”
He gave one of the horses to Altaïr,and mounted his horse.
“Let’s go Altaïr,it’s a long journey so we should go now.”
Altair got on his horse with the pigeons and rode beside Malik for a little bit.
“Ya know, these guards will pounce on you just for breathing funny, and so far they don’t seem to mind us riding horses and carrying pigeons,” Altair said as they passed a group of guards. He was feeling rather talkative today but remained silent for the time being out of fear of getting punched in the face. He severely disliked getting punched in the face.

“Hmm…actually…wait,Altair!”
Malik puts everything back in place, picks up a few pigeons and follows Altair.
“Let me help you. I mean…I don’t want you letting these birds run away. It’s a long journey, and they’re a lot of pigeons, you can’t carry them all.
…But first we must get some food and water, for us and for the pigeons. We can’t just go without taking these things with us,Altair.”
(( OOC: And so the epic Pigeon Orchestra adventure begins??? XD ))
Altair stops and turns around, with a confused look on his face. “You’re… going to help me? You’ve never *willingly* helped me in a while. Are you sick?”
Altair shrugs and lets Malik catch up to him. “I suppose you’re right about the food and water… Where shall we get bird food?”
((OOC: IT BEGINS. Can we also make a switch-a-roo to past tense? Its odd writing in present tense o.o
Or do I just fail at RPing?))(( OOC: Oh alright XD ))
Malik stopped, looked angrily at Altaïr,and in an angry voice said:
“…I am not helping you because I want to,I am helping you because I don’t want to be blamed if you let the birds run away!! “
For a moment Malik felt like punching Altaïr in the face, but he decided not to,since he was more concentrated in giving back the Pigeon Orchestra to the owner.
“…And what kind of question is that Altaïr? Is the sun affecting your memory? You’ve been around here so many times and you don’t know where you can find these kind of things? …”
“Malik. CALM YO TITS.”
